Raspberry Pi - The 35USD Personal Computer

Yesterday evening I set my alarm clock for 5.50 am. Having my eyes still closed I headed over to www.raspberrypi.org willing to buy one of these cool, miniature PCs.
Outline drawing of the Raspberry Pi, Model B

I knew I need to be first to buy it. Unfortunately I was not the only one...
At 5.52am their website was already down. Later they switched to nginx serving static page. I than was able to get what I wanted.

I am talking about the Raspberry Pi - a 35USD PC. It has everything it needs for you to call it PC. It has two USB inputs and HDMI output. They say,  built-in CPU (700MHz ARM with hardware-accelerated OpenVG, and 1080p30 H.264 high-profile decode) should be enough to play HD video.
It has SD card socket for storage and Ethernet connection.

You can buy, or I should say will be able to buy, one of these at Farnell or RS Components. At least you can fill in the form and express an interest in buying one.

I have put my name up and I hope for the best!

My new project

Few weeks ago I started building my new plane. It took me some time but I am half way there now.
I downloaded plans from mikeysrc.com . This plane is meant for for slow, FPV flying. There was some confusion over the plans, that were modified few times, but I believe it is only better for the design.

Here is how it looks for now:
